How Do We Reimagine Work with AI?

AI for Work & LIFE — Consulting | AI Collaboration | Podcast
AI isn’t an IT decision. It’s a leadership one.
I help nonprofit organizations think through what they’re adopting, why, and what it will cost the people they’re accountable to — before it costs them something they can’t get back.
This is what stewardship looks like in the age of AI.

What responsible adoption actually looks like
Most nonprofits don’t fail at AI because their staff resists it. They fail because nobody ever built a shared frame for what it’s for, what it’s not for, and who decides.
I work with nonprofit leaders, teams, and individuals at each of those levels — because the problem lives at all three.
For organizational leaders: Clarity on what your organization is adopting, and why — before the tools shape the culture instead of the other way around.
For teams: Practical training built around your actual workflows. Not a demo. Not a policy. Work your people can use on Monday.
For individuals: The fluency and judgment to use AI in ways that protect your voice, strengthen your value, and keep you in the driver’s seat.

What do you need?
The nonprofit leaders I respect most aren’t asking “should we use AI?”
They’re asking something harder: how do we make decisions about this together, in a way we can stand behind?
That question lives at the intersection of leadership, culture, and judgment — not technology. It’s where I do my best work, and it’s what The Commonwealth Circular and the AI for Work & Life podcast are built around.
If you’re looking for a place to think this through before you’re ready to bring someone in — start there.
The organizations I work with aren’t starting from zero. They’re already using AI in some form — or their staff is, whether leadership knows it or not. What they’re missing isn’t more tools. It’s a shared way of thinking about what those tools are for.
I help with three things: 1. building the internal framework your team needs to make good decisions about AI together; 2. translating that framework into practical guidance people can actually use in their work; 3. and giving leaders the language to talk about this with their boards, their funders, and their staff without sounding like they’re either behind or overselling.
This isn’t a technology project. It’s a leadership one.

It is time for a change.
Most leaders aren’t adopting AI because they want to innovate; they are adopting it because they are tired of the messiness of being human. They call it “Optimization” because “Abdication” sounds too much like a crime.
This is not a workforce. This is a Human Commonwealth.
